Okay, summer doesn't officially start until June 20, but the sun is shining and we're calling an early start to the season at the city's favourite spot. The Dog Days of Summer series is returning to Hastings Racecourse for two days of longer, action-packed races that you'll want to add to your calendar.
It all begins on the weekend of May 25 and 26 with the beloved Bulldog Races. The cutest purebred British, English, and French bulldogs you've ever seen will be running the track between each horse race as they compete for a $500 prize and honour of being the 'Top Dog of Hastings.'
If you know an English, French, or British bulldog, up for the challenge, registration is open from now until May 19.

Last year, we saw the inaugural corgi races bring adorable (and hysterical) moments to the North Renfrew race track, with four-legged athletes competing for the 'Top Corgi' prize.
